Description

Operational Apple-1 “NTI” computer including the original Apple-1 “NTI” board, original Apple Cassette Interface (ACI) "NTI," and original wooden Byte Shop Apple-1 case with Datanetics keyboard and power supply.
Appraisal (verification and successful testing) by Prof. Gabriele Seleri and Claudio Parmigiani on Dec 1, 2016.


History

Bought from Jim Heathcott on Feb 29, 1984, by Alfred Lee from San Jose for US$500. Owner kept it secret until 2016.
Bought by Achim Baqué in October 2021, after knowing about it since 2018. After some negotiations and a secret appointment at VCF in the CHM, the decision to buy it was made in early 2021.


Components

White ceramic Synertek CPU C6502 (7541), plastic Synertek PIA SY6520 (7630), 8 KB Mostek MK4096N-11 (7634). All chips are date-correct. 6 blue and one yellow caps


Equipment

Original Apple Cassette Interface (NTI), original wooden Byte Shop case with Datanetics keyboard from Dec 14, 1976, and power supply from 1976, period-correct cassette with Basic and Disassembler. Original Apple Cassette Interface Manual, original Apple ad, Panasonic cassette recorder.


State

Excellent shape due to the fact that the mainboard was in the wooden case. Sticker "14" on the back. Stamp "5" in the lower right corner.
