Description

Owner from the West Coast wants to be anonymous. For this reason, the name West Coast is used.
On the back is a handwritten number. Many first-batch Apple-1s have a handwritten number that looks like a serial number. This one is different. On all known Apple-1s, the format is 01-00xx. This Apple-1 shows the number 01-0002, one more digit. The handwriting seems to be different compared to other Apple-1s. There is a scratch under the number instead of through the number.
Without further investigation (forensic analysis), it was not possible to validate the authenticity of this number.

The owner sent the Apple-1 Registry a certificate from DNA/PSA in August 2022. According to this document, it is Steve Jobs' handwriting.
