Description

Unfortunately, no picture of the mainboard is available to verify if it is real or not.

Contrary to all other museums, the Enter Museum did not respond to any requests. There are no pictures or further information from the museum. Also, unfortunately, no evidence that the case contains an Apple-1. Third parties inquired for computer blogs; cooperation was promised, but nothing ever arrived. I visited the museum in June 2026. At ticket office they claim that original Apple-1 are on display, but clearly only replicas. In the wooden case are only cables. I met Mr. Kunz and asked again for pictures. He said that the original Apple-1 would be somewhere else, not in the museum. But again, no pictures to prove it exists.

The nickname of this Apple-1 was changed from Enter Museum to Kunz. According to an interview, this is the owner.

At the end of February 2022, we received pictures of the Apple-1 setup in the Enter Museum. Two Apple-1 replica mainboards are displayed together with the wooden case. There was no information that both Apple-1 boards are replicas. It is still unknown if there is an original Apple-1 in the wooden case. As far as we know, there are many articles and reports about the owner, but never a picture of the original Apple-1 has been published. If anyone has knowledge of such a picture, please send it to the Apple-1 Registry. Our mission is to preserve the history of all Apple-1 units. Unfortunately, no picture of the mainboard is available to verify whether it is original or not.

The Apple-1 Registry visited the museum in June 2026. At the ticket office, I was told that original Apple-1 computers were on display, but the visible boards were clearly replicas. No sign clearyfiying this at all. Many visitors might belive it is an original. Other computers like the Mark-8 in the museum are replicas as wll without any signs. The wooden case appeared to contain only cables. The Apple-1 Registry met Mr. Kunz in the museum and asked again for pictures. He said that the original Apple-1 is somewhere else and was not in the museum. However, no pictures were provided to prove its existence. In addition, he said he did not know whether it was a first or second batch Apple-1, and that he had no further information about it.

History

According to an interview with owner Felix Kunz, this Apple-1 was found in the 1990s at a flea market in San Diego and bought for about 10 USD. According to Mr. Kunz the Apple-1 is on loan to the Enter Museum. At least in June 2026 it was not in the museum.
