List of all original Apple-1.
If you are a first time visitor and not familiar with iconic Apple-1 computers, please read all the information first.
Go to previous entry #2 - Go to next entry #4
Note: This is the 3th entry in the list and not the 3th Apple-1 produced. The Apple-1 does not have a regular serial number. Only some Apple-1 got a handwritten serial number.
The close up image of the board was provided by Wendell Sander, who found it in his stash of old Apple stuff. It is apparently the same image as used in the ad. The original picture is sharp enough to easily read all the date codes on the chips. This board is unique in that it doesn't have the NTI logo on the PCB, but it has the same caps as used on later NTI boards. The white 2513 is a GI part. The 2504 data codes are newer than some first run boards.
This and Liza Loop's machine are only units known to exist with a white 6820. However Liza's has ceramic disk capacitors, and this one doesn't, so they are clearly two different machines.
It is not known if this units still exists.
This is probably a board built espcially for the advertisment as no known board has this combination of components.

(see History for more information)
White ceramic MOS MCS 6502 CPU (1576), white ceramic AMI PIA, 8 KB ceramic Mostek MK4096-11 DRAM (7604), white ceramic 2513 (7601), 3 big blue capacitors. Ceramic PROMs
ICs have date code between 1974 and 20th week of 1976 (the 2519 and 2504v's is with 7620 the 'youngest'). Not so many disc capacitors like on all 1st batch boards.
